Brent Faulkenberry

My father served in the Army, and I grew up all over the world. We returned to our hometown of Chesterfield, SC, when I was in middle school.  I graduated from the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Math in Hartsville in 1991 and went on to attend The University of South Carolina’s Honors College as a Carolina Scholar.  I have been well-served by South Carolina’s public education system and hope to be able to give back as a member of the Rock Hill School Board.

I have been married to Amy (Bigham) Faulkenberry, a native of Rock Hill, since 2001. We have two sons, Cooper (pictured below as Prince Eric in Saluda Trail Middle School’s production of The Little Mermaid, Jr.), who will be a freshman at South Pointe High School this fall, and Fielding (pictured below during on his 10th birthday), who will be a 5th grader at Sunset Park in the Rock Hill Schools.

In 2013, after many years on the road for corporate America, I purchased my own recruiting firm, Global Recruiters Network of Rock Hill. We are located in downtown Rock Hill and assist manufacturing, IT, commercial construction and healthcare firms with their executive searches. I feel extremely blessed to work and live in this community.

I have served our schools in various capacities as a member of School Improvement Councils at both Sunset Park and Saluda Trail Middle School.  I served on the Rock Hill School District 3 Choice Program Planning & Design Team, Rock Hill Schools Insurance & Employee Benefits Evaluation Team, Pathfinders Strategic Master Planning Committee and the Rock Hill Schools Grading Policy Committee.

Since 2013, I have become very involved in the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation and currently serve as the President of this amazing group of volunteers. I have also served as the Grants Committee Chair, Vice President of Programs and Executive Vice President. There are few things more rewarding than walking into a classroom with the Foundation’s Grant Patrol and providing the resources needed for a teacher to make his or her classroom a better place for all students!
