The regular schedule of meetings for the Board of Trustees will continue as outlined in our school district policy, on the second and fourth Monday of every month. The next regularly scheduled meeting is Monday March 23rd, 2020.
The Board of Trustees of Rock Hill Schools are temporarily suspending all student recognitions and participation during Board meetings until further notice in an effort to keep our students safe.
Furthermore, we are allowing non-essential staff and cabinet members to submit written reports rather than appear in person to present information to the board.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised that community-based interventions, such as social distancing and limiting public gatherings can help slow the spread of COVID-19. As we are committed to transparency, we will continue to allow participants to attend the meetings, but we are strongly encouraging the public to view the meetings via our Facebook Live stream, rather than attend in person.
We want to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff and leadership for their efforts in navigating through unchartered territory with our students best interest at heart during this difficult time.
We encourage the public to download our app and follow the Rock Hill School District social media channels for the latest updates regarding the COVID-19
“We are One team on One mission for One Rock Hill, and we are confident that our community will work together through this difficult time”, Helena Miller Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
